Medium term

1. fix or replace nr. The program is too resource hungry, and does a lot of stupid things. Many of these are trivial to repair, but it has to be done before new features are added. No program should use /tmp rather than memory for storage.

2. replace sendmail with zmailer. We also need to replace the local delivery program to be something that can cope with NFS mounted directories. See Mail system below.

3. replace CNews with INN on the news machine. See News system below
