NCF consists of five Sparc-class machines

1. Two dual CPU Sparc 10s with 512Mb of memory each, and several Gb of disk space (freenet1, freenet3).
2. a dual CPU Sparc 2 with 128Mb of ram and a single small disk (freenet2)
3. a Sparc IPC that services as a news machine (freenet-news)
4. a Sparc ELC that is an administrative machine, and is currently little used because it has few resources.
