Nearly all of the commercial service providers are now providing SLIP/PPP access to the Internet, frequently with the same combinations of software that the NCF might use. The experience and knowledge about setting up and using the TCP/IP software should increase in the community, just as it has similar knowledge of communication software has increased.
Many people would also be using similar systems on their office lans, and would find this setup very familliar.
