The event occurs (June 3 to June 7)
The contractor will be performing the following functions, in this order of priority:
A national pager number (1800) will be provided to organizing committees to report problems to the contractor. This number will be made available from April 15 to June 15.
In previous years, a spreadsheet input option was made available. We would propose not to do this in 2002 due to the large amount of effort involved, the high confusion induced, the level of ubiquity of the Internet, and the increase in latency in finalizing results. We estimate the spreadsheet requires an additional 1/2 day of effort per city involved.
The support effort situation is roughly proportional the number of cities involved. We estimate 1/4 day of effort be allocated for each city. The week of the event is 5 days.
In previous years' the wrap-up was not properly accounted for. Each city typically wants to have its acculated data wrapped up and provided to them. This effort is 3 days, between the end of the event and the end of June.
A final report, if desired, will take 2 days.
