I dislike this idea, personally, since that implies that such
a ridiculous patent might have some validity, and sets a bad precedent.
Broad, vague patents covering prior art should be laughed away, not
given away. Taking them seriously to any degree means that sooner or
later some vulture is going to try to demand royalties.
