Evaluation of IBM Proposal
It was not my intention to suggest that a license would be required in
orderto experiment with the IBM modular key management protocol in
connectionwithevaluation of it for adoption as the Internet/IETF
standard. IBM acknow-ledges that such experimentation is necessary and
appropriate and herebygives its permission for use of US Patent
5,148,479 in connection withsuch evaluation. Any other use of the
patent prior to adoption of the IBMproposal as the Internet/IETF
standard is not permitted.
