This is the IETF. We don't vote. If we did vote, baseing it on who
bothered to speak up on a mailing list wouldn't be appropriate. We
certainly should not be voting on whether a particular technique
causes a performance problem -- thats like voting on whether the
gravitational constant has a particular value.

If you have figures on this based on test implementation that support
your contention, lets see them.
