Yes, we have gone rather far afield.  I asked a simple question about
generating 3DES keys, and we ended up talking about relative strengths
of all kinds of keys.

Right now, I'd like to concentrate of the correctness of the Photuris
mechanisms, rather than adding better implementation notes.

Could someone post the location of the paper or argument which says that
3DES with 2 keys is no better than DES?  Are 3 keys any better?  What is
the current analysis?
