MacOS also has DAC for file sharing over the network.  Shared folders
are read/modify controlled on a UNIX-like owner/group/other basis.

Just FYI -- Windows NT has full DAC (passes C2 in appropriate configs) 
and Windows 95 has optional DAC on volumes when accessed over the 
network (the relevant case for IPSEC).  So, PCs these days care about 
authenticating users making remote requests.
