ESP transform with RC5

IPsec members,
I have just submitted two informational RFCs to the Internet
Engineering Task Force that specify how the high performance RC5 cipher can
be used to add privacy to packets transmitted over the Internet. These two
documents were developed by RSA Data Security Inc. and TimeStep
Corporation. They are being submitted for review by the security working
groups of the IETF. They are currently available from RSA's web and FTP
sites.
The first document describes the RC5 cipher in sufficient detail to
create interoperable implementations. It is titled "The RC5, RC5-CBC,
RC5-CBC-Pad, and RC5-CTS Algorithms" by Bob Baldwin and Ronald Rivest and is
available via ftp://ftp.rsa.com/pub/rc5/draft-rsadsi-rc5-00.txt. The other
document describes how to use the RC5-CBC cipher to encrypt IP packets
following the framework defined by the IP Security Working Group of the
IETF. It is titled "The ESP RC5 Transform" and is available via:
ftp://ftp.rsa.com/pub/rc5/draft-rsadsi-esp-rc5-00.txt.
Please address comments and suggestions to baldwin@rsa.com or
to ipsec@ans.net.
