Results of quick survey

Hi,

The quick survey indicated very clear consensus that HMAC SHA-1 should be the
mandatory-to-implement approach for AH and that HMAC MD5 should be
optional-to-implement for AH.  I'll post the WG Last Call for the 2 HMAC AH
transforms in a few minutes.

It isn't clear to me whether this also means that folks prefer to have
"DES-CBC + HMAC SHA-1 + Replay protection" instead of "DES-CBC + HMAC SHA-1 +
Replay protection" in the mandatory-to-implement ESP transform.  

Could the active members of the WG with a strong view either way on the
integrity part of the ESP transform please send a quick note _now_ to Paul
Lambert <palamber@us.oracle.com> and to me <rja@cisco.com> indicating your
preference with regard to ESP ?  

If this new survey results in MD5 as OK for ESP, then we'll hold WG Last Call
for the combined ESP transform edited by Jim Hughes right away.  Otherwise,
Jim will need to re-edit his draft according to the consensus and WG Last Call
will necessarily be delayed on that edit cycle.
