ESP with long keys

    Here is some information for people who want to make ESP
transforms with long keys.

     In the Spring of '96 Brett Howard and I wrote an ESP based on 
RC5 that includes both a 128 bit and a 40 bit key version.  This was
submitted as an Internet draft and is also available at the URL
below.  It was based on the Spring ESP format.

    The companion RFC, which defines RC5 in sufficient detail
to guarantee interoperability, was also submitted as an Internet
draft and is currently being upgraded to an Informational RFC.
