I'm writing an implementation of it at the moment, while enjoying the
Greek beaches :-)

A very rough, GPL'ed version of it will be available after the first
week of June (after the AIAG interop). Someone will (hopefully) pick
it up from there (i'm getting back to the US then, so i won't be able
to work on it any more).

As is usually the case with such matters, there will be an
announcement in this list when the time comes (the stars are aligned,
the Old Ones are coming back, the protocol is stable...umm, scratch
that).
Cheers,
