Proposed IPsec interop workshop
Co-chair tipped back revealing customer hat. :)
The AIAG is moving toward hopefully its last sponsering of an IPsec
interoperability workshop.
This workshop will concentrate on testing implementations of new-ESP using
the DES-explicit-iv encryption and hmac-md5-96 authentication (other will
be tested based on resources, I am sure). The IPsec tunnels will be get
their keying material from Oakley exchanges based minimally on Oakley Main
Mode auth 3 (RSA signature). The AIAG will be supplying a cross-certified
PKI for the testing (ie implementations need to validate received certs in
such and environment).
These IPsec connections will have to demonstrate actual data transfers,
minimally 5mb FTPs.
Current discussions are pegging this workshop for the week of Sept 22nd in
Ottawa CA.
Any vendor in position to participate in such testing (please note the
non-USA location) please contact me.
