So this means that the base ISAKMP draft wasn't rev'd? That means that
one of the issues from the document reading party wasn't addressed.
The ISAKMP+IKE+DOI clique at the party came up with the following issue:
1. DOI of 0 in phase 1 says to use the ID semantics from the base
ISAKMP draft but the base ISAKMP draft doesn't define any semantics.
A minimal set of ID types has to be added to the base ISAKMP draft.
Version -08 doesn't have this minimal set.
Also, various vendors have in the past requested a Vendor ID payload
which would carry some opaque blob. This also hasn't been added.
Doug, can you make another rev of the base ISAKMP draft and address these
two issues? The 1st one is critical the 2nd is merely very important.
