   Actually from what i have heard, seen, read, you are allowed to export
   (and import (duh))crypto on your palm/laptop, as long as it stays on
   your palm/laptop.

What you are thinking of is 15CFR740.9(a)(2)(i)"Tools of the trade".
But it may not apply to source code, just executeables.
