IPsec DOI TC draft
My proposal for a Textual Conventions MIB for IPSec was published a
while ago. Due to it being offered during a period of indecision
whether the IPSec MIB was an IPSec work item, or an IPSecond work
item, it was published under my name.
Since then, the working group chairs have decided that the MIB is an
IPSec work item, so it's really a WG document.
Whether we can find the resources to develop a MIB of the style I'd
like to see (one that's not a stopgap), I think any IPSec MIB's would
benefit to use this DOI. It will make all the magic numbers readable
in MIB walkers, while (presumably) solving the revision control
problems.
I still haven't heard a thing from the IANA taking on the management
responsibility, I've sent the IANA mail, I've sent the IANA the I-D,
and haven't heard a thing. (The IANA is slow sometimes.)

NOTE: The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
how to manipulate these messages.
Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.
