Terminology question: "suites" vs "set of cryptographic algorithms"

When I changed IKEv2 back to a la carte cryptographic algorithm
negotiation, in many places I continued to use the terms "suite" and
"cryptographic suite" to refer to the set of algorithms proposed and
accepted even though there is no longer a concept of named suites or
meaning beyond a "set of algorithms to be used together". I believe this is
a common use of the term, but at least one reader found it confusing,
particularly since "we aren't negotiating suites anymore".

What do others think? I'm not averse to replacing the term, but I'm
reluctant to make last minute changes that someone else might object to.
This is only a terminology question.

Opinions?
