My name is Liane Greeff, I am with the Environmental Monitoring Group in
Cape Town (South Africa) - EMG is a NGO which focuses on environment and
development issues largely in Southern Africa. Due to the location of the
Secretariat of the World Commission on Dams being in Cape Town, I have been
asked to monitor the progress of the WCD, facilitate NGO submissions and to
disseminate information. Additionally, I am part of a regional working group
which is looking at a range of individual dam campaigns and thematic issues.
I am interested in sharing information, and building a stronger
international movement around dams, rivers and water resource management.
