dam-l LS: Narmada Water level latest:17 Sept 7:30am IST
Dear Friends,
This is an update as on 17-9-99, 7:30 am.
The water level at the dam site is 95.35 mts
The level at Rajghat, Badwani is 123.10 mts
Since 5 am, today, the water at the dam site is rising by about
10 to 11 cms per hour.
We had a call from Babloo, Bargi that there is continuous rain there
since three days and 21 gates of bargi dam are open and too much water
coming into the dam. (The Tawa and Barna dam gates have also been opened
up-yesterdays news.)
You may recall that the water level when people faced submergence on
10th and 11th august was about 98mts at dam site and a little more than
126 mts at Rajghat.
Today a part of the Sahayog yatra is reaching Nagpur and a part Bombay.
There are programs at both places where, with our supporters at both
places the issue will be raised.
Since Thursday evening there is no news from the villages.
