dam-l African water page

I picked this up from the IRN's african listserve, managed by Lori 
Pottinger.

Tis is the 6th time I have tried forwarding and I keep getting bounces.
To get the machine to stop doing that, I've changed some of the punctuation.
The wording and mening remain the same.

The launch of the Nile Basin Home Page

A call for submissions from the World Commission on Dams for
their Third Regional Consultation to be held in Cairo - Large
Dams and their alternatives in Africa and the Middle East:
Experiences and Lessons Learned.  The closing date for
submissions is 25 October 1999

Strategic Sanitation Approach (SSA) - Announcing the second
electronic conference in a series, focusing on urban sanitation
provision and examining in detail the principles, concepts and
application of the Strategic Sanitation Approach (SSA).  The
conference is scheduled to take place between October 11 -
November 10 1999.  Send an email message asking to subscribe
to the list owner at gesi-request@mailbase.ac.uk

WEDC is advertising for three positions in the UK and
specifically asked me to advertise on the African Water Page in
the hopes of getting applications from Africa.
