The Special Evaluation Study of the Social and Environmental Impacts of
Selected Hydropower Projects of the ADB is now available on their web page-
it can be downloaded at
http://peo.asiandevbank.org/Documents/Special_Evaluation_Study/SS-36.doc. 
This study was conducted by the ADB's Post-Evaluation Office (equivalent to
the World Bank's Operations Evaluation Department).

The study looks at four dam projects funded by the ADB, including the
Theun-Hinboun Hydropower Project in Laos, the Batang Ai Hydropower Project
in Malaysia, the Power XX Project in Indonesia, and the Hunan Lingjintan
Hydropower Project in China.
