dam-l Attend Protest at the Y-12 Plant -- APRIL 8-9

Hello SABP Members and Friends,

A protest/rally/musical event/direct action is coming up at the Y-12 Plant
in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on April 8-9.

Stop the Bombs!

The Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge is the last remaining full-scale operating
nuclear weapons production plant in the United States. Starting with the
material for the Little Boy bomb that destroyed Hiroshima and continuing
today, Y-12 has manufactured parts for every nuclear weapon in the U.S.
arsenal. Y-12 is responsible for the "canned subassembly", which makes a
bomb thermonuclear. Today Y-12 remanufactures nuclear weapons to extend
their "shelf life" for another 100 years. Currently, Y-12 is upgrading W87
warheads for the MX missile.
