9 million without running water in SA

Nine million people in South Africa are still without running water despite
the government having supplied water-on-tap to more than 5 million people
since 1994.
Addressing the Drilling Contractors' Association of Southern Africa in
Pretoria at the weekend, Water Affairs and Forestry Minister Ronnie Kasrils
said that ground water was going to be used far more in the attempt to
provide running water to all South Africans.
