FREE ACCESS TO TECHNICAL INFORMATION ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY DEMONSTRATION
PROJECTS CARRIED OUT IN 11 COUNTRIES WORLDWIDE
Through its website, the International Energy Agency's Centre for the
Analysis and Dissemination of Demonstrated Energy Efficiency Technologies
(IEA CADDET Energy Efficiency) offers free access to technical information
on newly demonstrated energy efficiency projects that are suitable for
worldwide replication. You can find the website at http://www.caddet-ee.org
The following new features were recently added:
ENERGY EFFICIENCY TOOLKIT
Check out a brand new section on the CADDET Energy Efficiency web site: the
Energy Efficiency Toolkit. You can find it at
http://www.caddet-ee.org/ee_tools.htm.
The Toolkit contains links to all sorts of energy efficiency related tools,
such as: databases, decision support tools, fact sheets, conversion tables,
(CO2)calculation programmes, analysis tools, etc.
If you know of any other tools that should be added, please contact Roswitha
Muyres at r.muyres@novem.nl.
DEFINE YOUR PROFILE
The CADDET Energy Efficiency web site now offers you the possibility to
define your own profile. In the Profile section (first bullet point in the
menu bar on the home page), you can indicate whether you are interested in
agriculture, industry, buildings, utilities and/or transport.
You can also select (one of) the following end-use technologies:
- advanced technologies
- combustion technology
- energy distribution
- energy management
- energy systems, equipment & material
- heat recovery & storage.
Once you defined your profile, the next time you visit the CADDET Energy
Efficiency web site, just click on the My News link on the home page (second
bullet point in the menu bar). You will then get a complete overview of all
items that are new or have been changed on the web site regarding those
sectors or technologies that interest you!
More information about IEA CADDET Energy Efficiency and its sister
organisation IEA GREENTIE (Greenhouse Gas Technology Information Exchange)
is available from the websites. Both organisations will also be present at
COP6 in The Hague.
