Dear all,
The judgment has come.
The submergence is only a few months away.
To save the valley - the houses and lands of tens of thousands of
tribals and peasants,
the bountiful valley - has to be saved from destruction.
Illegal submergence, unjustified displacement and destitution are
unacceptable for the people.
Hence the people have decided to intensify the struggle.
People who are fighting this gigantic dam project for the last 15
years needs you in the valley,
to visit their villages, strengthen them and join them in the actions.
A Samvad Yatra is planned in the valley from 13 - 16th of January.
Did you receive the earlier communication?
13-14th, you can visit the tribal hamlets of Maharashtra and Madhya
Pradesh in the boat.....
starting from the dam-site till Jalsindhi, you will meet the tribals
and see the beautiful valley yourself.
15-16th, you will be in the plains of Madhya Pradesh - Nimad, the
most fertile land in this region.
We beckon your presence in this Yatra. Your presence will surely
cement the determination
and will equip the people for the struggle ahead.
Please reach Baroda by 12th night or 13th early morning.
Please carry enough warm cloths, sleeping bag etc for a comfortable sleep!
You informing us about your participation in advance will help us
plan the schedule better.
