Procedimiento para la nominación de los Premios "Stockholm Water Prize" (del
sitio de la red del Instituto Internacional de Agua de Estocolmo) (Enviado:

La Fundación de Agua de Estocolmo invita a los científicos internacionales
y a la comunidad dedicada al medioambiente, así como también al público
general a presentar nominaciones para el "Stockholm Water Prize".
Acaba de comenzar el periodo de nominaciones para el Premio "Stockholm Water
Prize" del 2002, y finaliza el 30 de septiembre de 2001.
Organizaciones científicas importantes, universidades, facultades,
academias, cuerpos académicos y personas de todo el mundo están invitadas
para nominar candidatos para el Premio.
El Comité de Nominaciones de la Fundación del Agua de Estocolmo, realiza una
revisión sobre los candidatos y recomienda un Laureado al Premio a la Junta
de la Fundación, quienes toman la decisión final. El Comité de Nominaciones
está compuesto por cinco representantes del Comité Nacional para la
Investigación y Administración del Agua en Suecia de la Academia Real Sueca
de Ciencias, y dos de la Asociación Internacional del Agua. Otros dos
miembros adicionales son seleccionados por el Comité; actualmente, estos son
del Instituto Tecnológico de Massachusetts (MIT) y la Federación del
Medioambiente y el Agua (WEF).
