Gregroy Scofield is considered one of Canada's most exciting young writers.
A hip and streetwise Metis and gay activist, Scofield lives in Vanvouver
where he divides his time between writing and working with street youth.
He was born in B.C. and raised in northern Manitoba, northern Saskatchewan
and the Yukon.  Scofield's first book, THE GATHERING; STONE FOR THE
MEDICINE WHEEL (Polestar, 1993), the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize, the Air
Canada First Book Award, as well as a B.C. Book Award.  He is also the
author of NATIVE CANADIANA (1995) and, most recently, LOVE MEDICINE AND ONE
SONG (1997).
