Il y aura une manifestation contre la hausse des frais de
scolarité et les nouveaux frais bibliothécaires, LUNDI LE 25
MAI, commençant à 16h15 devant la bibliothèque
MORISSET et à 16h45 au pavillon TABARET, à l'entrée donnant
sur le Transitway. Cette manifestation représente notre
dernière chance d'influencer la décision du Bureau des gouverneurs
de l'Université d'Ottawa avant qu'il approuve les augmentations des
frais de scolarité proposées par l'administration centrale. La
participation des étudiantes et des étudiants à cet évènement est
donc d'une importance critique, et on encourage TOUT LE MONDE à y
être. Nous espérons que vous serez en mesure de vous y rendre aussi.
Veuillez s'il vous plaît faire circuler cette information autant que
possible.

P.S. Voici les augmentations de frais scolaires proposés par
l'administration centrale (représentant des centaines de dollars
supplémentaires pour chaque étudiante et étudiant):
- programmes de premier cycle en général: 7.5%
- génie: 8.5%
- sciences informatiques: 10%
- médecine: 10%
- programmes d'études supérieures en général: 4%
- administration (MBA, MHA, IMBA): 10%
Veuillez noter que ces propositions seront peut-être modifiées (à la
hausse) suite à la décision du gouvernement de l'Ontario, annoncée le
6 mai dernier, permettant la déréglementation complète des programmes
professionnels et des programmes d'études supérieures.

Hello,
There will be a demonstration to protest against tuition fee
increases and new library user fees on MONDAY, MAY 25,
starting at 4:15pm at the MORISSET Library entrance and at
4:45pm at TABARET Hall, next to the Transitway entrance. This is our
last chance to influence the decision of the University of Ottawa's
Board of governors before it approves the central administration's
proposed tuition hikes. Student participation in this event is
therefore of critical importance, EVERYONE is encouraged to be there.
We hope you will also be able to make it. Please circulate this
information as widely as possible.

P.S. Here are the central administration's proposed tuition
increases for the next academic year (representing hundreds of
dollars more per student):
- undergraduate programs in general: 7.5%
- engeneering: 8.5%
- computer science: 10%
- médecine: 10%
- graduate programs in general: 4%
- administration (MBA, MHA, IMBA): 10%
Please note that these proposed increases may be modified (i.e.
increased even more) following the Ontario government's decision,
announced May 6, to completely deregulate professional and graduate
programs.
