  The Carleton Disability Awareness Centre is sponsoring a forum on the
proposed Ontarians with Disabilities Act that activists are hoping to
pressure the Harris Govt to enact before the next election. The Rae Govt.
did attempt to pass the legislation in 1995 but the election call meant
that the bill died before it could be passed.  I urge all
progressives to come out and hear about this issue as disability rights is
often ignored in the progressive community.  The event is on Oct 27th
(tues) at 2 PM in Baker's Lounge, 4th Floor, Unicentre Building, Carleton
