"LANDS FOR LIFE": DON'T LET MIKE HARRIS CLEARCUT ONTARIO
OPIRG-Carleton's Forestry Group will be holding a demonstration today:
- Friday Feb.19th - 12 Noon
- at the William Street Mall in the Byward Market
(between George St. and Rideau St., next to Coffee Revolution)
The protest aims to increase awareness about the Harris government's
so-called "Lands for Life" program, and will include drumming (bring a
drum if you have one!) and street theatre. A special guest for the street
theatre will be one Mike Harris, chainsaw in hand. Will he chainsaw half
of Ontario, leaving only clearcuts and homeless animals behind?
