Professor Armstrong's faculty research interests include: transformations
in the Canadian social security system with particular emphasis on health
care, changes in the organization and structure of work, especially women's
work, and household structures and relations.  She is author of many books
and essays including (with Hugh Armstrong) Wasting Away: The Undermining of
Canadian Health Care, Toronto; Oxford University Press, 1996.
