Event on March 26, 1999
Auto Free Ottawa (AFO) will be one of the exhibitors at "Turning Down
the Heat: the New Energy Revolution" multi-media event and exhibition,
sponsored by the David Suzuki Foundation on March 26, 1999.
The exhibition showcases alternative energy technologies, and AFO will
be distributing information about the organization, as well a "sneak
peek" at this year's Commuter Challenge. The Commuter Challenge is an
environment-friendly event, open to anyone in the National Capital
Region, that challenges people to use healthier forms of transportation
when commuting to work, school, or any other place they would normally
take the car.
The exhibition opens at 5:00 p.m. in the main lobby of the Ottawa
Conference Centre (across from the Chateau Laurier) at the Colonel By
Drive entrance. A film screening and keynote address by Dr. David Suzuki
will follow at 7:30 p.m. Free admmission, but seating is limited.
