EARTH DAY '99

April 22nd - Bank and Sparks St.
11am - 3pm
Celebrate the cultural and ecological diversity of your planet!
Discover new ways to help protect your enviornment, health, and family!
Support your planet and its peoples by joining us in a march to Parliament
Hill!
At this year's Earth Day celebration, we'll have entertainment, and
representation by a number of environmentally-minded organizations and
businesses.
Come drop by!



NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVISM TOUR FINALE

April 22 - Alumni Auditorium at the University of Ottawa; 7pm to 9:30pm

Bob Bossin singer/songwriter will entertain the audience with his music and
a short film called Sulphur Passage.  Showing of FURY FOR THE SOUND: THE
WOMEN OF CLAYOQUOT SOUND chronicles the legendary grassroots movement to
protect the old-growth forests of West Vancouver Island.  The film was first
concieved by producer Shelley Wine while sitting in jail after being
arrested in Clayoquot Sound.

This OPIRG-sponsored event will be hosted by Internationally known
enviornmental activist Elizabeth May
