Ms. Bilquis Tahira is the coordinator of the Women’s Development Project, a
project to improve the status and conditions of women in Pakistan. The
project strengthens the capacity of Pakistani public and private sector
organizations to promote gender equity in the sector’s of education, health,
human rights and economic empowerment. This presentation will be followed by
questions and answers and will provide an opportunity for discussion on
women’s issues with a particular South Asian perspective.
