August 6th is Hiroshima Day, commemoration for the victims of the bombs
dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.
There will be lantern ceremony at 8:00 pm at 3rd avenue on the canal (near
the Ritz restaurant). Come early for the picnic (6:00 pm) or for the lantern
workshop (7:00 pm).
In case of rain, the ceremony will be held at Friends' meeting house, 91
1/2, 4th Avenue.
