cupe 910 at carleton strike
Picket lines went up at 6:00am August 27 at Carleton University
Carleton has not increased wages since January 1993 for CUPE 910 workers.
The university has offered the 85 grounds and maintenance workers 3% in a
two-year deal. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) from April 1993 to December
1998 rose 8.1%. CUPE is asking for just over 8% in a two-year deal.
Staffing cuts have meant huge increases in workloads.
Come join the picket lines at the entrances to Carleton and support CUPE
910 workers.
