Hey OPIRG volunteers!
Guess what?
Each year, the Canadian federal government spends almost 500% more on its
military budget than it does on affordable housing!
That's why there's a nonviolent civil disobedience action that's being
planned for November 12, in front of the Department of National Defense,
called Homes Not Bombs.
For more information, you can come hear LIbby Davis (an NDP vancouver east
MP putting forth a motion to increase federal spending on housing by 1%)
speak on Wednesday October 27 at 7 p.m. The location is yet to be
determined.
