The University of Ottawa chapter of the Canadian Lawyers Association working
for International Human Rights (CLAIHR) invites you to attend a talk on
"CHILD SLAVERY, HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE INDIAN SUPREME COURT" by Dr. M.P. Raju,
lawyer at the Supreme Court of India.  It will be followed by an informal
question and answer period.
La prČsentation sera en anglais seulement mais il sera possible de poser des
questions en franÁais.

When:  Monday November 15th at 17:30
Where: Fauteux Hall, room 147A (the law building on the U of O campus - 55
Louis Pasteur Rd, Ottawa).

Dr. Raju is
   - Advocate, Supreme Court of India, New Delhi;
   - Legal Advisor, Programme for Legal Aid, Indian Social Institute, New
Delhi;
   - Senior Partner, M.P. Raju & Associates, New Delhi.
   - Standing Counsel for the Union of India in the Supreme Court of India
   - Editor, Legal News and Views, a monthly magazine, published by Social
Action Trust,  New Delhi
   - Director, Board of Directors, Humana People to People (India)

In addition, Dr. Raju has succesfully fought for the release and
rehabilitation of bonded child and adult labourers, has argued important
reported decisions of the Supreme Court of India, is widely published and
has made numerous conference presentations.
