Historic Vote Held in Guatemala

Activist Carol Brunt has just return from working as an international
observer with Peace Brigades International for Guatemala's first
peace-time elections in more than 40 years. She will share her
experiences on Thursday, December 2nd at 7:30 pm at Church of the
Ascension, 253 Echo Drive at Hawthorne Avenue (next to Immaculata High
School).

This event is a fundraiser for the Guatemala Solidarity Committee of
Ottawa (GUASCO), formerly Project Accompaniment Committee of Ottawa
(PACO) Suggested donation - $5. Refreshments and a raffle of typical
Guatemalan textiles will follow.
