(A) NEW EVENTS IN ONTARIO
---------------------------------------------------
Here are NEW or modified events listed since the Dec. 1 calendar.
In order by date. Please remember to (also) post your events at:
http://events.web.net

* GREEN PARTY Envelope-Stuffing Party, Mon. Dec. 13, 5pm,
Toronto. Help stuff 4,000 Green Party of Canada newsletters.
Lots of volunteers are needed. It will probably take about 3-4 hours
with 10 people stuffing. If you have an hour or 3 hours to spare,
please help out. It's fun to do something mindless and mechanical
for a change rather than the usual tearing our hair out about the
woes of the world. Green Party office, 244 Gerrard St. E. at
Ontario St. fdejong@greenparty.on.ca

* Big Band Benefit for Daily Bread Food Bank, Mon. Dec. 13,
8pm, Toronto. Forever Swing Orchestra, Moxy Fruvous, Big Rude
Jake, B-Girlz, more. Winter Garden Theatre, 189 Yonge. $25
Tickets: 416-870-8000 or 416-872-5555. Info: 416-698-6261

* GENEaction founding meeting, Wed. Dec. 15, 7pm, Toronto.
It will follow a talk about Genetic Engineering by Nicholas
McCormick, who has been involved in the organic movement in
Britian and Canada. 7-8pm lecture; 8:30-9:30 meeting. 348

212. If you have any questions or comments or would like to help
us put up posters, contact Larch or Emily: Geneaction@graffiti.net
416-438-1254

* WTO Action Coalition, Wed. Dec. 15, 7pm, Toronto. at the
Oxfam Office, 1011 Bloor st west (near Dovercourt). We won the
Battle of Seattle but you can bet that the WTO sat down today in
Geneva and began a process of damage control. They heard our
chants and will, no doubt, begin using the words and phrases
against us. Democracy and transparency will be the new WTO
buzz words. We can't sit back and let them dismantle the progress
we made with N30. There will be a lot to discuss on the 15th and
it might be a good idea to get an agenda sorted before hand. If you
have any ideas and suggestions let me know.
