mumia abu-jamal action monday, february 28
FREE MUMIA NOW! JUSTICE FOR MUMIA! A NEW TRIAL FOR MUMIA!
there will be a non-violent protest action in support of the demand for a
new trial for mumia abu-jamal in ottawa on monday, feb. 28 @ 9:00 am. the
protest will take place on the east side (sussex avenue) of the new american
embassy. there will be information leafleting, spoken word and popular
theatre calling attention to the great injustice of the wrongful conviction
and pending execution of mumia abu-jamal.
supporters can gather at 8:30 on parliament hill and proceed over to the
embassy as a group, or join the protest in front of the embassy around 9:00
am.
this will be a non-violent action and some activists will be risking arrest.
we need your support to ensure a successful action.
there will be a training session for this event on saturday, feb. 26th from
11:00 am - 2:00 pm. this session will be held at 280 metcalfe st. in the
5th floor boardroom.
the action coincides with actions around the world and a civil disobedience
action in washington all in support of the demand for a new trial for mumia
abu-jamal.
