Just 45 minutes from Ottawa-Hull, on the eastern shore of Lac La
Blanche, there is a natural treasure - an unlogged area where ecosystems
continue to evolve naturally as they have for millennia. The Canadian
Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) and the Friends of Centre Educatif
Forestier de l'Outaouais (CEFO) are campaigning for permanent protection
for this exceptional 2,000 hectare oasis, which also offers unsurpassed
nature trails. Learn about the centuries-old forests, tranquil lakes,
vibrant wetlands, and simple steps you can take to help us protect the
La Blanche Ancient Forest forever.
