The World March of Women 2000 Against Poverty & Violence
Hi everyone,
This is a reminder that Joan Grant-Cummings, President of the National
Action Committee on the Status of Women will be speaking about "Women in
Solidarity to End Poverty and Violence Against Women" on Thursday, April
27th (tomorrow evening). This event will take place from 7-9 pm at the
Council Chambers of the Regional Municipality of Ottawa Carleton at 111
Lisgar St. There will also be a number of activities aimed at involving
participants in the planning of the Women's March.
For more information about the Women's March and other related events, the
Hotline number is 233-9659. It should be up and running within the next few
days.
