Memorial Service for Dario Domingues   Thursday, April 27   7:30 p.m.
Paroisse Sainte Famille,  152 Glenora St.,  (near Herridge and Main)

A gathering will be held this Thursday evening, April 27 in memory of
Dario Domingues, the inspiring musician who died last week at age 46.
Born in Argentina, Dario moved to Ottawa in 1977 and for the past 23
years, shared his beautiful flute and percussion music with audiences
at festivals, schools and concert halls in North America and Europe.

Dario was featured on the evening mainstage at the first Ottawa Folk
Festival in 1994 and continued to give glorious performances at the
festival in subsequent years.  He made numerous recordings and was
a frequent performer in benefit concerts dedicated to peace and social
justice.  Dario is survived by his son Damien, age 13.

The church service will be followed by a musical performance that will
celebrate Dario's joyful spirit.  For additional information, please call

Donations to a trust fund to assist Dario's son may be dropped off at
the Thursday gathering or mailed to
