Workshop on Clusterbombs and other Mine-like Weapons
You are invited to a half-day workshop on Mines and Mine-like Weapons on
Monday, 24 January, 8:30 to 12:30 at 1 Nicholas St., suite 202.
The objective of the workshop is to develop a skeletal joint action plan on
three existing weapons groups:
(1) anti-tank mines with excessive impact on non-combatants,
(2) cluster bombs and
(3) claymore mines.
Discussion will also include military alternatives to anti-personnel
landmines.
If you would like a copy of the draft agenda or a discussion paper on the
mines
and minelike weapons that Canada currently stockpiles, please contact Mary
Foster
of Mines Action Canada.
