CLEAN AIR CONSULTATION, Thurs Feb 10, Toronto.
Environment Canada hosts a one day stakeholder consultation in
preparation for negotiating a transboundary smog reduction
agreement with the United States.
It would be difficult to overstate the importance of these Canada-U.S.
negotiations in the context of our air quality problem. If a clean air
activist were to attend just one
meeting in 2000, the Feb. 10th consultation would be that meeting.
Environment Canada has agreed not to restrict access to the Toronto
session. Limited funding to cover travel expenses.
