Mon.Mar.13, 7:30 - Biotech + GMO Foods public meeting
Ottawa Public Working Group on Food Concerns:
Monday March 13, 7:30, at the YW/MCA, 180 Argyle St., Rm.245.
The mini-talk will cover:
Organic Foods - What are organic standards and how are they regulated? How
is organic food certified?
The meeting will focus on:
- Planning for the April 1, 2000, national day of action against
genetic engineering, along
with The Council of Canadians, Greenpeace and the Sierra Youth
Coalition.
- Last meeting we discussed organizing information pickets across the
city and
a crazy fun media stunt.
- If there are any groups which would like to join us for the action,
group members
and representatives are most welcome to this meeting.
