Commemorate 10th Anniversary of Elections

Commemorating the 10th Anniversary of Burma's 1990 elections never honoured
- Vigil: 9:30am to 10:30am - Parliament Hill
- Demonstration: 11:30am - 1:00pm - Embassy of the Union of Myanmar (85
Range Rd.)
In 1990, Burma's military regime held country-wide elections. Nobel
Laureate, Aung San Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy (NLD) won 82% of
the vote but the military still prevents them from taking office, arresting
and imprisoning many elected Members of Parliament and democracy supporters.
Please also come to the vigil at 9:30am to 10:30am on Parliament Hill and
the demonstration at the Embassy of Myanmar at 11:30am to 1pm.
