Thurs., Aug. 3rd, 5:30 to 8:30PM
Vincent Massey Park (areas K&L)
Heron Rd. and Riverside Dr., Ottawa
park gates are on Heron Rd.
- OC Transpo routes 4, 87, 111, 118, 175
- For FREE parking, mention that you're there for the organic picnic.
- Please bring your own plate, cup, and utensils, but those items
will
be available if needed. - Rain shelter will be available. - Any
leftover food will be given to a charity for the homeless. -

are welcome!

Picnickers will receive a booklet called "Organic in Ottawa", which
will be a guide to Ottawa-area organic food suppliers, organic lawn
and garden care services, organic producers, as well as relevant
internet links.
SPOKE will arrive at 5:30PM. Speeches will begin at 6PM. Members of
the media have been invited to the picnic. In order, the speakers
will

- Elizabeth Arnold (City of Ottawa Councillor, Somerset Ward)
- Charles Caccia, MP (Chair of the House of Commons Standing
Committee
on the Environment and Sustainable Development)
- Peggy Land (physiotherapist and co-chair of the working group on
the Health Dangers of the Urban Use of Pesticides (HDUUP) of the
Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton (RMOC))
- Eleanor Heise (President of COG)
